Join us on March 6th and 7th as we celebrate the second birthday of Aruandê Capoeira at our Annual Texas Exchange! Mestre Demétrius will be conducting workshops aimed specifically at teaching us what makes Aruandê so unique. He will go over the style and technique of our group in detail, spending time to correct and teach his philosophy of movement. It is your yearly chance to ask questions about class, movements and how to improve your games.
In addition, we will be sharing our personal videos and photos taken in Brazil! We also will be highlighting our instructors around the world with videos and photos, and then showing the parts of Brazil they live in.

Aruandê Capoeira - International Event 2009

Central Cultural Aruandê Capoeira unites in Brazil to graduate some of its highest ranked instructors. Aruandê will be present in force with students and instructors from Brasil, Canada, New Zealand and the United States travelling to watch their Mestrandos, Professors, Instrutors and Monitors alike graduate on February 7th, 2009.
Supervising will be Aruandê Capoeira founder, Mestre Demétrius, along with Mestre Lobão, Mestre Barrão, Mestre Xereu, Mestre Catitu and Mestre Pirulito along with Aruandê instructors from every region in Brasil!
The event will be full of rodas, workshops and will feature a show including: Dança de Fogo, Dança Africana, Macuele and the Dança de Guerreiro.

Ten Kids Referred by Community Leaders to start their very own Fight for Freedom.
December 12th and 13th Aruandê Capoeira Presents: O Luta de Liberadade a brief introduction to a community outreach program launched state-wide in Corpus Christi, Laredo, and Houston.
Help show 10 disadvantaged children the music, culture, and fight that is Capoeira! Workshop will launch a variety of programs to introduce regular, low-priced classes into neighborhood centers high in crime and poverty.
Guests: Aruandê President and Founder, Mestre Demétrius
Friday: 8-10pm Aruandê Christmas Party Brazilian Picanha (BBQ) will be served! (plate included in total workshop price) Students are welcome to bring dishes to share.
