Kids class features a warm-up consisting of stretching, calistentics and the fundamental movements of Capoeira, but often does so with the use of games and learning activities.

Basics

Our training involves a variety of attacks and defenses, from the ground and standing. The end of class usually has a "roda" (Portuguese for circle) where students can try their skills against each other.

Culture

Our kids class spends time learning words in Portuguese, parts of instruments, singing and playing the instruments of Capoeira (drums, tambourine, and berimbau). The children also go over the history of Capoeira and do activities together centered around cultural holidays in Brazil.
